Fiddle Jam outside on the patio:  Bring your fiddle or guitar and join in the Fiddler Jam Session where everyone gets to play!!                                     Polka Jam Session in the Hall: Come listen to some great local talent play your favorite polka tunes!!  

Friday, April 23 

Come taste the Crawfish, Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice or sample the barbecue and hamburgers.

    Saturday, April 24   Check for outside activities

Senior Division     Fiddle Contest  9:00 a.m. (65 and over) – Prize    money awarded to the top 10 contestants, with a First Prize of $250. 

 Freshman.  Division      (15 and under)  

10:30 a.m Prizes awarded to the top 10 contestants, with the winner receiving a handmade fiddle donated by award-winning fiddle maker Forrest H. Craig. The second and third place winners will receive a scholarship to Randy Elmore's Fiddle camp
 Guitar Accompanist Contest   1:00 p.m.  Prize money awarded to the top 10 contestants, with a First Prize of $200.
Gone to Texas   2:30 p.m.  A warm Texas welcome to our out-of-state competitors! Over $5,000 in prize money awarded to the top 10 contestants, with a First Prize of $1,000.

 Texas Jackpot Fiddling Contest  (time permitting)

5:00 p.m.  Can you play the tune randomly selected from over 200 titles?

TexasFiddlers’              Hall of Fame              9:30 a.m. Each year during the contest, a top musician from Texas is inducted into the Texas Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame. This year see Dick Barrett, Bill Lyell and Bartow Riley honored for their extraordinary contributions to Texas Style Fiddling.

Championship Division

11:00 a.m.  You must be a Texas resident to compete. Over $7,500 in prize money awarded to the top 20 contestants.
Championship Play-Off 5:00 p.m.  The top 3 contestants from the Championship Division compete in an action-packed Cliff and Velda Fryer Championship play-off for the title of Year 2003 Texas State Champion Fiddler and a First Prize of $1,500.
